Wonderful news to learn that His Beatitude Cardinal Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem and Fr Gabriel Romanelli,  Parish Priest of the Holy Family Church Gaza finally returned to the parish for a pastoral visit.

On May 15th, 2024, His Beatitude, Pierbattista Cardinal Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem entered Gaza and reached the parish of the Holy Family for a pastoral visit. His Excellency the Grand Hospitaller of the Sovereign Order of Malta, Fra’ Alessandro de Franciscis and a small delegation accompanied the Patriarch and met the suffering population to encourage them and to deliver a message of hope, solidarity, and support. The visit is also the first stage of a joint humanitarian mission of the Latin Patriarchate and the Sovereign Order of Malta, in collaboration with Maltesers International and other partners, aiming at the delivery of life-saving food and medical help to the population in Gaza. Cardinal Pizzaballa celebrated Mass with the community and Fr. Gabriel Romanelli, the parish priest of Gaza, who was part of the delegation was finally able to rejoin his flock and resume his service as parish priest.
