The ‘Western Mass’ took place on Saturday 15th October 2022 at 11.30am in St. John the Baptist Church, The Neale, Co. Mayo. It was concelebrated by Most Reverend Francis Duffy, Archbishop of Tuam; Most Reverend Michael Neary, D.D. KCHS, Archbishop Emeritus of Tuam; Very Rev. Pat Mangan, P.E., KCHS; Very Rev. Declan Carroll, P.P. and Very Rev. Francis Mitchell, JCL KCHS, who was the Homolist. In attendance were 50 Knights and Dames who had travelled from all over the island, as well as from the United States and Portugal. Prior to the celebration and offering of Holy Mass, the Investiture of Chevalier Gary Brian Sullivan was conducted by Most Reverend Michael Neary, D.D. KCHS, Archbishop Emeritus of Tuam.
Following the investiture, promotions were awarded to the following members:
Glenn Kielty to the rank of Knight Commander
Peter Moylan to the rank of Knight Commander

A luncheon was held, after Mass, in Ashford Castle. Our Lieutenant expressed thanks to both Ger and Catherine Concannon for organising this very successful and prestigious event.
