Mairéad Walls, DC*HS was admitted into the Order in 2013, having been introduced by her husband Chevalier Damian Walls KCHS, who has been a member since 2009.
She has been a member of Council since 2018 and is responsible for organising Order events in Ireland. Mairéad has travelled on pilgrimage to the Holy Land on 2 occasions, receiving the Pilgrim Shell of Jerusalem in 2016.
Mairéad runs a Business Management Consultancy in Co Antrim and in her spare time plays Irish Traditional Music and has recently released her ‘debut’ CD ‘Songs and Tunes from Co Antrim’. She is active in her home Parish of Duneane where she is Chairperson of the Pastoral Council and Choir Leader of both the Junior and Senior Folk Choirs.
She has been happily married to Damian for 27 years and they have two children, Ethlinn
and Conall.
