However, the ceasefire collapsed on March 18, and Israel resumed intense military attacks on Gaza, resulting in over 50,000 deaths, including many women and children. The reimposed embargo has created a severe humanitarian crisis, making Gaza uninhabitable for its 2.2 million residents.
