An interesting background history of the Immaculate Conception Latin Parish Church in Bir Zeit, close to Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, which was consecrated in 1972 and which is dedicated to the Virgin Mary – Our Lady of Guadalupe evident by the mosaic image towering behind the altar.
The Lieutenancy of Ireland has built a strong relationship with Fr Dr Louis Hazboun the current Parish Priest, the Holy Rosary Sisters, Junior Seminarians, Parishioners and Students of the adjacent Convent School having visited on many occasions and funded the refurbishment of the church roof and parish hall.
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Bir Zeit continually and especially at this time of conflict.
