On Tuesday 24th May 2023, members of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem – Lieutenancy of Ireland received a warm welcome from the newly appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland,  His Excellency Archbishop Luis Mariano Montemayor, during an audience at The Apostolic Nunciature, Dublin.

The Lieutenant, Peter Durnin, briefed the Apolostolic  Nuncio on the mission of the Order; the charitable works and humanitarian aid undertaken in the Holy Land 

Since 1986, the Lieutenancy of Ireland has donated over €5 million to support the Christian communities in Palestine, Israel, Cyprus, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq.
