This weekend, 9th – 11th June 2023, the Lieutenancy of Switzerland and Liechtenstein celebrates its annual Investiture of Knights and Dames into the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.

The Vigil at Arms, Investiture Ceremony and Sunday Mass are celebrated at St. Mauritius Parish Church, Appenzell, Switzerland.

The Investiture Ceremony was performed by Bishop Charles Morerod OP, Bishop of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg, Grand Prior.

In attendance were Lieutenant of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, H.E. Donata Krethlow-Benziger; Vice Governor General Europe, Jean-Pierre Marie de Glutz-Ruchti; various overseas Lieutenants, including H.E. Peter Durnin, Lieutenant of Ireland and H.E. Roberto Buontempo, Lieutenant of Malta.
